About Us
"Quite simply, we grow good fruit, and make the wines we enjoy drinking with our customers, family and friends."
byrne vineyards today is the result of three generations of hard toil in the vineyards, and we now have a streamlined business producing grapes for others, wines for ourselves, and a tailored wine model backed by our quality assurance, our land and our history.
We take pride in our environment, our product, and our ceaseless search for innovation within the wine industry. This sense of pride is echoed by our family's work in wetlands conservation, and in developing and maintaining ecological viability on all levels of our business.
And above all else, we sustain our endeavours with an enduring quality and a sense of delight in our chosen field.
Simple, really...
Tailored Wines
Tailored Wines – Tailored Solutions
by byrne vineyards
Tailored Wines is simply about understanding our client's business, and designing a solution specifically to suit that need.
We produce wines tailored to our clients' specific needs, from style through to packaging and labelling details, and we produce these wines from our family vineyards. Terry Byrne manages the land and the vines, whilst brother Rob handles the corporate side of the business. With land that has been in the family since the early sixties, and planted to vine from the beginning, we can provide an assurance of quality, and the satisfaction of dealing with a family grower/producer.

And the premium Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre…
Thomson Estate SGM 2011
Following hot on the heels of the 2010 release in Europe, we have a small allocation of this classic South Australian blend for the domestic market. With the 2010 taking a silver medal at the highly esteemed Mundus Vini 2012, the 2011 is an example of how the tough vintage conditions were evaded by careful vineyard management. Spiced, layered, and with a considerable length, we look forward to showing this to the Australian palate.
