Thomson Estate, Picnic Point Rose
Picnic Point Rose
1838 was the year Walter Thomson, with wife Jane, arrived in Australia and established a winemaking tradition. Faithful to his approach, our estate grown parcels are carefully tended by our vignerons to create wines of great intensity.
A delicate and soft palate with a fruit finish best served well chilled.
Ideal with picnic platters and antipasti.
Proudly a Vegetarian friendly wine
REGION Riverland, South Australia
This rosé was made from Estate grown Gewurztraminer grapes ripened to the delicate balance of fruit character, baume and acid levels and fermented early in the vintage to retain the clean freerun juice for freshness. The natural pale pink colour is delicate and finishes dry.
Rose style allows the innocence of fruit to shine with minimal intervention. Care is taken to softly press the grapes to avoid harshness and heavy tannin. Fermented in stainless steel and cold pressed to retain maximum fruit and acid balance.
Subtle salmon pink with apricot hue.
Summer pudding fruits of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries with delicate floral aromas bring the glass to life with perfumed rose petals.
A refreshing palate of strawberries and cream with Turkish Delight. Soft and rounded with a delicate yet lingering finish, best served icy cold and enjoyed at your favourite picnic point.
