Thomson Estate, Merlot
1838 was the year Walter Thomson, with wife Jane, arrived in Australia and established a winemaking tradition. Faithful to his approach, our estate grown parcels are carefully tended by our vignerons to create wines of great intensity. Theis parcel of Merlot hails from the premium cool climate Clare Valley and displays fruity elegance and finesse.

COLOUR Vibrant cardinal red with magenta hues.
AROMA The bouquet exhibits blueberries, violet, and gentle thyme notes.
PALATE Well-structured palate of black berries and cherries, filling the mouth with full bodied, velvety layered tannins. It pairs well with roasted pork loin with garlic paste, pan seared duck breast with blueberry sauce.
