This Cabernet Sauvignon was selected at vintage from our family property at Glen Devlin on the River Murray.
These mature vines are an average of 40 years on limestone which provides fruit intensity and varietal expression.
The 2018 vintage was much dryer than the wet vintage prior. Dry winters with warm ripening resulted in concentrated flavours and richness.
The richness of the fruit in its natural state meant that minimal intervention was required in the winery.
Separate parcels were left on skins for some time in order to develop the keen tannin structure, then fermented in stainless steel with the influence of French oak.
COLOUR Deep garnet red with purple blue hues
AROMA Lifted aromas of blueberries have soft toast and cedar notes.
PALATE Full-bodied with robust dark fruit flavours of plum and cherry with rich cassis. Smooth tannins and a lingering finish to enjoy on its own or with barbequed lamb, stir fries and antipasti.
Enjoy now or keep for up to 5 years.
