This 2018 Antiquarian Shiraz was selected from the finest Clare Valley grapes and matured in French and American oak hogsheads and barriques. The wine is glorious upon release and will develop even greater complexity with careful cellaring.
Closure Diam driven closure is selected for Antiquarian to deliver a consistent result of the highest quality.

The 2018 vintage conditions were long and slow with low rainfall and above average ambient temperatures. This dry period continued right though the growing season resulting in perfect finishing conditions.
This Shiraz was closely monitored to ensure optimum harvest time. Fermented in a small open fermenter for 10 days. Cap managed twice daily to extract full flavour. A mix of French and American oak was chosen to mature this fine wine
and achieve balance oak and tannin.
Colour Dark purple and cherry plum red.
Bouquet Lashings of raspberry and dark plum, shinning, alongside toasty French and American oak aromatics.
Palate Layers of dark chocolate, cherries, balanced by toasty oak and silky tannin. Leaving the palate satisfied and fulfilled.
Food Pairings Prosciutto wrapped haloumi stick, and slow cooked Indian style roast beef. Vegan friendly.
