The 2017 vintage was slightly later in starting than usual, and only commenced in the last week in February. Cooler conditions allowed this vintage to finish with balanced quality and respectful yields. Closely monitored to ensure optimum harvest time, the estate grown fruit was fermented in a small open fermenter for 10 days. The cap managed twice daily to extract full flavour and a mix of French and American oak was chosen to mature and achieve balance oak and tannin.
